In 2023, we are steadfast in our commitment to honour and commemorate the immeasurable sacrifices made by our beloved Veterans. Through a series of heartfelt events and acts of remembrance, we pay tribute to those who have selflessly served our nation.

Join us in this noble endeavour through Postcards for Peace, an initiative that extends an opportunity to convey your deep gratitude to the valiant souls who have served Canada in times of war, military conflicts, and peace and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. This educational undertaking fosters active remembrance, ensuring that the sacrifices and triumphs of our Canadian Veterans are never forgotten.

In partnership with PostcardUnited and Veterans Affairs Canada, we are delighted to offer you a FREE pack of Postcards for Peace, available while supplies last. It’s a token of our appreciation for your support in preserving our history and recognizing the courage of our heroes.

However, please note that this offer will close on October 11, 2023, or as soon as we reach the first 120 comments—whichever occurs first.

To participate, leave your comment below and then complete the attached form. Once we’ve successfully matched your comment with the form you’ve submitted, we’ll mark it as “received.” After that, we’ll swiftly dispatch your postcards, and you’ll see them updated as “posted out.”

Remember, your comments and support are always welcomed, even if you’re beyond the initial 120 participants. Your dedication to honouring our Veterans is deeply cherished.
And here’s the exciting part—our commitment knows no boundaries! We are pleased to announce that we will be shipping these postcards worldwide, free of charge.

  • This is a great initiative. We recently had a great initiative at work to write a postcard to soldier and their families thanking their great service to nations.

  • Dear Veterans, I do hope that thanks to your experience and teaching the new peacekeepers wherever and whenever they are deployed they will prevent any hostilities and what is more persuade the warring parties to come to some kind of reconciliation or compromise.

  • Deep gratitude for the past, present and future defenders of our nations, the reason we rest peacefully and do the little we know we do, our armed forces.

  • There are several Vietnam Veterans who are members of Postcard United. In Australia just recently the RSL (The Returned and Services League) apologised for the treatment veterans received by the organisation when they were turned away after returning from active service. The apology coincided with Vietnam Veterans Day and the 50th anniversary of the end of Australia’s involvement in the war. Despite the widespread condemnation by anti-war protest groups at the time our generation acknowledges your service and sacrifice. To all veterans who lost their lives in the wars – thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice.

  • I had the pleasure of living the life of a US Coast Guard wife for 31 years, birthing my first born who served 9 years in the US Navy, and finally married my high school sweetheart who served in the US Marine Corp. On my arms I’ve tattoo’d the motto for each of these services plus that of the Royal Army: Semper Idem|Always the Same which represents the God I serve and the Lord I love. I am grateful for men and women who willingly sign on the dotted line to give their life in service to the United States of America. Freedom truly isn’t free. Someone had to pay the price and I am very thankful for all that have. Praise God for a free country.
